About e-Collecta

It all started when, as a student in Bologna, in 1989 I organized the 1st Used and Collectible Record Convention at the former Palazzetto di Modena, Viale Molza.

Passionate about Music and Photography it was almost a destiny. In fact, after that first initiative, I organized many other events related to collecting, and not only in Modena, but also in other cities such as Bologna, Reggio Emilia, Florence, Rimini, Turin, Padua. The key was the same: to bring together supply and demand in the many, many areas of collecting: vinyl's records and CD, comics, old toys, old books, watches, especially Swatches, but also Kinder surprises, etc. And so throughout the fantastic 90s, I organized the Comics Exhibition Market, the Antique Books Exhibition, the Collectable Swatch and Watch Market Exhibition, the Antique and Collectible Toys Market Exhibition, etc.

A real job.

All those experiences, as well as necessarily making me accumulate many fantastic objects (having direct contact with the many exhibitors, I could see rarities in preview :-) ) led to the conception and organization of EROTICA '92, the 1st Exhibition of Eroticism, which took place in Bologna at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Bologna on 9 and 10 May 1992.

The experience of Erotica, which continued until EROTICA '94 (the edition where the CYBER-SM was presented, the suit which allowed, via the Internet, (in 1994!) to have sexual intercourse), opened me up to other unexpected spheres of collecting, curiously also posters and playbills about cinema.

Indeed, the key to the success of Erotica was to present and make known eroticism in all facets of culture: in comics, literature, advertising, cooking, fashion, cinema, etc.

And so in 1997 I founded Cinema Paradiso, on the domain I managed at the time:

italica.com/cinemaparadiso

where, I traded and sold Italian movie posters from the 50s to the 90s.

A clone of those old pages can now be found on e-Collecta: https://e-collecta.it/blogs/cinema-paradiso-italian-movie-poster/home

In 2003 my professional activity took me in other digital directions and I ceased any activity on collecting.

My Archive therefore remained "asleep" for 20 years.

And now I've decided to propose it all again with e-collecta.it

Don't hesitate to ask , it's not all on the site yet: if I progressively add and photograph other objects, it will take some time.
